Amazon+Bird

Perfumera Curandera Healing Perfumes are a direct result of Leanne’s journey with the Plant Medicine Path, of over two decades working with traditional healers known as Curanderos and Shamans and the ceremonial use of sacred Plants known as Plant Teachers or Master Plants to bring about transformation.

Leanne feels very fortunate to have spent the past 25 yrs traveling together with her Peruvian born husband to the Peruvian Amazon and Andes where they worked with traditional healers known as Curanderos and Shamans.

Throughout these years they established and developed deep relationships with specific medicinal plants, through dieting and ceremony with them.

A dieta is when one drinks specific plants for healing while abstaining from regular societal influences, and from stimulants such as alcohol, sugar, red meat and sexual relations over a period before and after the 2 to 4 weeks, guided by a Shaman, or Curandero- ideally in an isolated Jungle environment.

One is given a very restricted simple diet of boiled plantains and Quinoa without salt or spices and specific plants are given daily according to ones healing requirements and to assist in cleaning and purging the body in preparation for ceremony and to enhance dreaming, to prepare for drinking the “Grandmother “ a Medicinal Hallucinogenic Brew known as Ayahuasca.

Administered through ceremonial rituals over 2 weeks to a month at a time, this Master Teacher Plant shows us to the very core of our being, to the unseen aspects of ourselves and to a deeper truth of who we are and what we can do as a species to affect better relations with the planet and our brothers and sisters.

The shaman blows smoke and scented waters over the participants to clean and clear them, and calls in the spirits. He whistles and sings Ikaros, which are powerful sacred healing songs that come directly from the plants, animals and bird spirits and from all the devas, energies and spirits of the Forest and unseen realms. These helpers come and assist the shaman in healing and curing his patients.

An ever deepening connection with these Teacher plants is developed over many years of ceremony, experiencing these sacred realms of the plant kingdom directly.

When drinking these Plant Medicines, our senses are heightened and our hearing opens up to many subtler frequencies, along with our inner vision and we can connect with the spirits of ancient healers, ancestors, plants, trees and animals, colours and geometric patterns as we access and navigate the unseen realms.

In this space one can also experience Ethereal fragrances wafting over the ethers, spirit sent divine scents that are the core of inspiration and have guided Leanne’s own fragrant offerings.

Her perfumes are a transmission from her souls essence, they are a portal for her own and others healing
