LEANNE HIRSH: BOTANICAL PERFUMER
Founded and made by Leanne Hirsh, Perfumera Curandera was inspired from over 25 years of traveling to the Amazon rainforest and Andean mountains with her Peruvian husband and through their extensive studies with Curanderos (shamanic keepers of the ancient healing knowledge of sacred teacher plants). These Curanderos and the magical plants they heal with inspired the creation of the unique aromatic plant extracts at the heart of Perfumera Curandera.
Traveling the world while working in the fashion and beauty industry led to journeys through dusty desert souks in Morocco and Egypt, where Leanne’s natural curiosity drew her to explore the traditional wisdom, knowledge, flora, and fauna around her as she collected remedies, incense, and botanicals.
Her favorite pastime is to be out in nature gathering seasonal plants for her tinctures and infusions, consisting of flowers, leaves, and roots for all her fragrant creations.
Small batch, handmade with rare botanicals, created with intention in a ritual setting, our fragrant unguents and elixirs are imbued with extracts of Amazonian and Andean medicine plants distilled exclusively for PC from the Peruvian and Ecuadorian Rainforest. Essential oils, Absolutes, and Resins are sustainably sourced from small suppliers and growers all over the world.
